My childhood friends rock

Good times reliving fond, fond memories! Last week, I went to my 5th grade reunion at Highlands, which was just mind-blowing. Everyone seemed so... the same, with a refined version of their 5th grade personality and looks. There was this weird niceness in the air, like you could have a decent chat with just about anybody—and oh, it was REALLY fun hearing people's college plans. Afterwards, I played 4-square with Kate, Jessica, and Katie, just like old times. Happiness :D.
Then on Friday, I got together with Kate, Ayesh, and Nibz (Kennedy group!) for gyros, walking through downtown Naperville, chilling at Barnes & Noble like the nerds we are, riding in Ayesh's mustang convertible with the top down and the music and heat BLASTING XD (it was cold out!), swinging in some creepy park at 11pm (only creepy after homicidal men in the woods were mentioned, lol). Good stuff; I've really missed those guys.
Alright, the BS comic, here ya go! I have to warn you that I'm deviating from the original story line a bit... I was wanting to have Volaris feel a lot more guilty and unhappy about things from the start. Not that you can see much story in those two pages. Who knows, I might do some more. I am planning to take a COD cartooning class in the fall, just for kicks, so you will see more of something... hehe
This Sunday comes a Praise Symphony performance at my church, after which I take off for a one-week css course in Indy with all my coworkers, and right after that, ACEN WEEKEND! Yayayayayayay
Hugs to Iano and Kash; hopefully the BS comic lives up to your first impressions ^_^;. Thanks for the encouragement. Thanks to Weien as well, and his crazy biology-related way of looking at everything. Just another sign of genius probably—this is how we know you're genuine. XD

Hey, I was in the downtown Naperville Barnes & Noble once. I remember it specifically because I got a lawyer joke book there and use it as an example in some of my debate rounds. Hehe...

Dude! I love the cartoon. It's not standard illustration at all, which is pretty cool. I especially like the big Volaris on the first page. It looks so... Wind Waker instruction booklet ;-) Can't wait for the next part when/if it comes. I like it! But maybe you should work on that concert cartoon thing with Weien in it first.

Subtle prompts to comment do work, y'see. But I mean, who wants to get more than one comment one one day, and then none the next? Rationing, rationing (a word no one really knows how to pronounce). In the end, it's all just a particular brand of sophistry that defines a fellow.
But enough with fluff (no that does -not- rhyme if you say "enough" with the right accent. Something more like enuhh, gotme?). Rather, get ready for a comment of true substance (maybe [subtance like CH3 if anything]).
I had one comment about your "swinging in some creepy park at 11pm." The small correction I had to make was that the park is essentially creepy at any time, because the homicidal men are there at any time (and they are by no means limited to 11 pee em of all hours). Rather, once our homicidal friends are mentioned, the park should be -less- creepy. *begins to tiredly and methodically reload his sawed-off-end double barrel
*At least... *takes off the safety* that's what life would be like if knowledge really were power (chances are, 'ignorance is bliss' tends to be the case of the moment). Take home message: walk erratically and wear a bulletproof vest (we never go for the head).
"And she dances as the twilight shadows creep down the river where she sleeps." -"Dave" XD
And try to keep your footing, for that matter. ^^
BS comic... I love the text font, it just takes me into comic world immediately. Oh, and I always grin at how Vol (is that our way of writing Voláris so that we can avoid the 'á' with the acute? Unsaid agreement of word shortening? :D) looks in the top right corner of page 2. You managed to -perfectly- capture the "shuuu" (downward tone [like a soft 4th tone]) look and feel. Oh, and Dorian's last words (plus the expression on his face) always make me laugh when I read it. I conjecturize that you've got plenty of humor locked in there... unleash it and say "it is well" (or "it is good" if you're a Genesis-fan-type of person).
Oh, Kash, if I might suppose something about the aforementioned concert cartoon thing... I have a feeling that that was a bit of a (very well received) bday present, of a somewhat one-shot nature, of a somewhat "someday I'll come back to it" nature. ^__^ At least, as far as I've come to understand it. As a good, sensitive botanist would say, "It's permenantly wilted." :D Nofear though. Nofear, nofear.
So Praise Symphony pWn3D today... but more on that from the big enchilada herself (sorry, sorry... but just reading this sentence makes me crack up too XD).
Here's to children who speak too quickly, write too sloppily, think too otherworldedly, or sing just barely out of tune. Here's to life. And here's to those who--maybe at least once in their life--secretly desire to brave the hot spattering oil of the local Mcdonalds fry cooker. The three are one and the same. Goo'day, folks.
