I'm really loving my three classes at COD so far. Cardio kickboxing is bliss - I would do this every semester for the rest of my life if I could. Something about immersing fully in high-intensity routines makes me feel so good about life ;D.
Eventually, I'll have to go back to karate - it's really become a family thing with my dad who's just earned a black belt in Tang Soo Do, Weien who's only a couple belts behind, and my mom who's at about the level at which I stopped (green belt w/stripe). But I have to say, cardio kickboxing is so much more enjoyable. No big tests or memorizing of moves and terminology, no intimidating high-degree masters noticing every little thing you do, no huge weight of honor and legacy and ranking to be upheld... just fitness and having fun.
Anyway, I'm thankful I started seriously working out a month before the class started because they're really extreme workouts; you're pretty much in a constant jumping-up-and-down while punching and kicking for an hour, then toning/weight-training for an hour. It actually reminds me a lot of Kinetic, even down to the vague techno/house/R&B music and stretching sequences.
My 'Programming Logic & Technique' class rocks xD~ I'm having way too much fun beating myself up and thinking I'm better than I really am. After agonizing and feeling totally pitiful for several minutes while trying to modify this simple robot-moving program, I was finally able to cut it down to be 4 lines shorter than the class example - angels sang in every cell of my body, if that gives you any idea of how much it pumps me up :]. Also, my professor is weird and freaky and tells hilarious unrelated stories every chance he gets. I love it. I'm really looking forward to taking more CIS classes this year.
Intro to Lit is a nice, happy discussion-circle class which is great; I haven't had one of those in a while and it's always invigorating to be in a big idea-sharing kind of setting.
Jogging - I discovered last weekend that I'm already able to run all the way downtown without slowing down :D. I realized that I always get tired right about at the one mile mark and that's when I feel like stopping, but if I just keep going, I feel energetic again and at two miles I'm still fine. I guess my new goal for summer is to the end of the riverwalk and back :D.
Time for a sketch dump~! (Some of these you can click for a higher-res version)

Though I couldn't make it to the annual Christmas conference for IBLP staff last year, the video department asked me to create a series of 10 cartoons for the intro of the video they always show at the end of the conference. You can view the finished product here. I had no idea they were going to attempt to animate everything! They did an amazing job; I'm told that applause broke out once the intro was over :].

John's bday!

Tony's bday!
It's kind of weird, but - what style I use when drawing bday cards depends mostly on the mood I happen to be in when I'm drawing them, not on the recipient ^^.

Just randomness

Experimentation, don't ask me what it means or anything

More experimentation
Just one more week till RailsConf <3! That's probably what I'll be writing about next.
I would look at the video, but I hate real media - one of the worst formats ever. They used to use it for the online courses at IIT - god help you if you wanted to pause or fast forward.
I like that last drawing a lot, very minimalistic, and of course that’s what I’m into :)
Programming rocks!
